I think any humor that might have been in this was trained by very poor sound quality and editing, and the "hilarious" "comedy" accent.

Since the memorial thread is the wrong place to post this, I may as well dump it here:

I thought The Bernie Mac Show was damn funny. I think he was one of the best things about Ocean's 11. I am in awe of his stage presence and thought that Def Jam clip from his TV debut is more or less the archetype for controlling an audience.

At the same time, I was surprised to hear street jokes in his act. Rewritten for his personality and cadence, but street jokes all the same. That said, it would be hard for anyone to tell them as well as he did.

I find it amazing that people consider this offensive. There is nothing offensive in it at all. No mention of his death. And it's barely poking fun at him. More poking fun at standup in general.

I have nothing against him. And if anything, I would be honored if someone made a video about me after my death.

I think you're a bit full of it. Like others (and you yourself, pretty much) said, this video could've been made with practically any other comedian, if you really just wanted to poke fun at stand-up in general. The only reason you used Bernie Mac is because he just died. And what kind of reaction do you expect, anyway, when you title the thread "Best. Bernie Mac. Video. Ever."? You set yourself up for this reaction, ZZalgern0n.

Thanks. Well, I like it. And, I got to make something for fun, which I don't get to very often.

The process how I chose Bernie Mac is a roundabout one and more boring than worth getting into. I suppose I'm just less sentimental about these things.

Maybe next thread I'll title "So bad video I made," and have people feel sorry for me.
