    Bear Down Podcast

I'll kick it off by repeating what I posted in that other thread:

Very happy to have the Bear Down podcast back. I don't know why I like listening to this so much... maybe it's the regular mentions of random burrito places in town.

(also... if you are a fan of Ian Robert's Leonard, he makes an appearance in this season opener).

    Re: Bear Down Podcast

I love the podcast. Just enough real sports talk that I'm satisfied, and lots of comedy. My favorite line ever, though, came this week and was unplanned: when they were talking about the click picks and Matt reminded him "You took the Colts last week." there was a bit of a pause, and he responded "Yeah, with the points..."

I don't know exactly why, but the idea that the Colts were getting points in the season opener against the Texans was absolutely hilarious to me, whether it was an incompetent bookie, not reading the line correctly, or the podcast being recorded in an alternate universe.

    Re: Bear Down Podcast

I'm a couple weeks behind - listening to Week 6 right now - but Bear Down is simply one of my favorite podcasts (well... top 5 certainly). I love listening to people talk intelligently (about any subject) while casually and slowly the comedy comes through, with occasional spikes of pure silliness... that's a quality I find in all my favorite improv.

    Two recent moments I loved:

Horatio Sanz, as the female reporter, talking about how her favorite sexual position is motor-boating.

Matt Walsh, as the assistant offensive line coach: "Once he's in the offense, it's still a Dennys."

I'm the only one keeping this thread alive, but I don't care... I really enjoyed Jim U-Boat in this episode, so I googled him and all I could find was a review of a one man show in the Reader and three poems of his published in the 90s.

The show is actually making me care more about watching the Bears... I guess it's made me a fan.

I'll try to keep this thread alive. I absolutely love this podcast and i really hope more AST fans will catch on to its greatness. It features Matt Walsh from UCB, Joe Nunez from Superbad, Belknap produces and, just like Sklarboro Country, you don't have to be a jockhead to enjoy it. an endorsement from scamboogah might get the ball rolling on this one.

Also, last week's episode featured Jimmy Pardo as color commentator and Matt Walsh's dad as a Bears-hating Bears fan.

Horatio Sanz is always great on this show... his George Halas describing what he was doing during the draft riots was fantastic.

And I loved Matt Walsh's father shitting on the current Bears team.

Yeah, that might've been my favorite episode. Horatio was on fire, and every comment from Dick Walsh made me laugh.
