I can't recall any time I've ever genuinely laughed so hard at something I disagree with.

Andy, I apologize for the "attention grab" comment when I'd only heard the interview. It's now obvious that the speech and the interview are two totally different things and the context of the Anti-Louie Robot changed everything. I'd argue that the speech by itself was much more effective than what sounded like nitpicking individual jokes within the context of the interview.

In any case, if there's any chance that my "attention grab" accusation led in any small way to the first-ever release (that I can recall, anyway) of portions of the SOTI address, I'm glad I said it, even if Andy now hates the anonymous online version of myself.

I apologize for not letting that one comment go. I made a federal case out of it. Or at least turned it into a repeating bit with diminishing returns that highlighted my thin skin.
This was the second year I released excerpts from the speech at Laughspin. I was thinking at one point I would release all the speeches but decided against it for many reasons, all boring.
I didn't specifically plan to participate in an depth audio interview about the Louie CK part of the speech. I don't have a problem with it except that I noticed as I was scanning the web for negative feedback that many people seemed to be reacting as if the interview was the speech. I had a terrible fight with garage band which I lost, and after further procrastination and self-recrimination, I released the excerpts. Is anyone still awake?

At least you can take solace in the fact that they're idiots. About half of the comments on there are just rhyming. We have way too much integrity to ever stoop so low on AST.

Andy recently cemented his place in podcast history by being the inaugural guest on Comedians are Nuts! with Gary Tha Squirrel, who in my opinion gave the definitive interview on the Louis/e debacle.

Stop whatever you're doing and listen Andy on Greg Fitzsimmons's Fitzdog podcast. the funniest thing I've heard in a while.

Instead of listening to Andy on the latest Adam Carolla podcast, I recommend checking out a recording of the Nuremberg Rally. It's slightly more politically nuanced, and you get to hear almost as much Andy.
