I just saw John Mulaney feature at Helium in Philadelphia. He mentioned after that he was working on his material for the special.

This is not a CCP you will want to miss.

Agreed. I saw him at the COC show last year and he was stellar.

    Also, Doug Benson!

Also excited about Jeselnik. If you haven't seen him, he's really something. Best guy around right now for two-liners.

I've seen Brian Scolaro twice, and both times I laughed so hard I got a headache, and my stomach hurt afterwards. So, I guess, watching Brian Scolaro is like fiending for caffeine right after eating bad chili. Wait, that doesn't sound good. He's funny, ok?

If anyone hasn't seen his Dane Cook impression on youtube, go watch his Dane Cook impression on youtube.

i'm interested in seeing tom rhodes' new half-hour. i enjoyed his first ccp enough to watch an episode or two of his bad sitcom, but i haven't seen much of him since then. i know he moved to amsterdam for a while and i remember seeing a short set on cc's the world stands up or one of their other "international" standup showcase shows they used to occasionally air in their mid-morning standup block.

Tom Rhodes is fantastic. Great comic, great guy. He literally never stops writing.

As long as I'm complimenting, Jeselnik is amazing. I saw him get an applause break just by saying fisting. John Mulaney is great. And Doug Benson! Doug Benson, now there's a real gent.

Thanks for the citation, Keith! If that is your real name...

Anyhow. I look forward to seeing all of the CCP tapings next month and bringing you some fun tidbits to tide you over until the specials actually air. I already can tell you what you already should know...that Mulaney and Jeselnik will blow the roof off of comedy, that Benson deserves another CCP, that Rhodes has become an immense talent in the years after network TV screwed him (and his hair), that Carr will be subversive and wonderful, that Schaal will do likewise (but will she include her partner Braunohler?), and that I look forward to surprising and wonderful things from everyone else in the lineup. Metzger, if you still need help on the backdrop, holler!

    Doug meant ocatv.com -- specifically http://www.ocatv.com/shows/show/26.

(he was high when he wrote that)

I completely overlooked Jeselnik's name on there, that's awesome too.

Hopefully, this and Jimmy Carr's second CCP will get more people into that type of style (my type of style).

I'm glad to see Kristen Schaal's getting one. She's been hilarious in whatever I've seen her in (SuperDeluxe stuff, FoC), and I'm interested to see what her solo act is like.

Kristen Schaal is pretty out there. That's a big achievement for comedy! I wonder if that means a Neil Hamburger one can't be too far off. Also, it's about time Todd Glass got another one. Come on people! I'd give another one to Andy too.

Todd really does need a second one. I remember the first time I heard Neil I hated him, but I have give a chance a few months ago and really enjoyed it. So I wouldn't mind a Neil CCP
