The monthly improvised stand-up game-show returns with a celebratory June show! We're turning 1 in style... by inviting a years worth of champions back to compete just for your amusement.

It's Just Two Minutes is a 3 round improvised stand-up comedy game-show that couldn't exist without you, the audience. 9 comics take turns improvising stand-up sets based on one or two word prompts presented to them as they individually take the stage.

In round 1 the comics are given just a one or two word prompt...then they delight you, the audience, with 2 minutes of insight and hilarity.

Round 2 is the story round. Comics are given a simple prompt such as embarrassing story or bad date story then they open up to you, the audience, as you laugh uncontrollably at their awkward lives.

Round 3 requires a little help from you, the audience. In this round you provide several prompts to the comics. The comic will say "I like my women like I like my..." or "I like my men like i like my..." and you yell out whatever you want. Seriously...whatever you want. The comic will then complete the sentence with a punchline. For example "I like my women like I like my table lamps...picked out by my mother. (Ivan Hernandez (former champion) wrote that clever gem with his mind). This is a lightning round of skill and wit.

At the end of round 3 the audience, you, will determine a winner. The winner receives all of the money in the Tip Jar of Justice AND gets to perform some of their stand-up!

Hey guys! Im looking for a comedy podcast that I havent heard of, something that isnt really douchey, which is a tall feat in the world of comedy podcasts. I of course know the obvious stuff like "wtf" "comedy bang bang" etc. im a podcast junky, ive heard all the stuff. been checking all kinds of things out for years. So, have anything that is good and obscure?

I realize that this is totally not worth its own thread, but I'm kind of hoping to get out some of the nervous energy inherent in this project through this site.

I run a music festival in Tacoma, WA, and we just launched the Kickstarter to fund our second year.

We just launched the Kickstarter yesterday, so shit's still up in the air. Three friends have already donated, but now the test becomes how many strangers are willing to make this a reality. This is my first time crowdsourcing like this, so we'll see.

Question about Comics performing on Craig Ferguson

I've heard from multiple comics on various podcast interviews that when they've recorded a set for Craig Ferguson's show, Ferguson has already left the stage and never watches the comics perform. I'm certain I've heard stories about this on WTF, You Made it Weird, and probably Doug Loves Movies. However, I can't recall who has said this.

Can anybody with better memory than me recall who has said this about performing on Ferguson? And even better, do you remember where they talked about it? I brought it up in a discussion but people are asking me for cites on this, but I'm blanking even though I know I've heard it many times from different people.

Even better still, if you're a comic that has performed on Ferguson, was he there to see you record your set?

CBS is doing some interesting things with its schedule next season, mixing in some single-camera comedies in with their traditional lineup of live audience, multi-cam sitcoms that have worked so well for them in recent years (The last time they tried a single-camera show was 'Worst Week' in 2008). On Monday nights, the ninth and final season of "How I Met Your Mother" will be followed by a new single-camera show, "We are Men", about four single guys living in a short-term apartment complex who unexpectedly find camaraderie over their many missteps in love. The show stars Chris Smith, Tony Shalhoub, Kal Penn, and Jerry O'Connell. Following "2 Broke Girls" at 9:30 will be "Mom", a more traditionally CBS sitcom from executive producer Chuck Lorre starring Anna Faris as a newly sober single mom raising two children in a world full of temptations and pitfalls. Multiple Emmy Award winner Allison Janney costars as her critical, estranged mother. ("Mike and Molly" is being held to midseason).

On Thursdays, CBS's comedy lineup expands to a two-hour block. The Big Bang Theory will be followed by "The Millers", a multi-cam sitcom starring Will Arnett as Nathan Miller, a recently divorced local roving news reporter looking forward to living the singles' life until his parents' marital problems unexpectedly derail his plans. Greg Garcia ("Raising Hope", "My Name is Earl") is the executive producer of the series, and Emmy Award winner James Burrows directed the pilot.
"The Millers" will be followed at 9 PM by "The Crazy Ones". Academy Award winner Robin Williams returns to series television in a single-camera workplace comedy about a larger-than-life advertising genius whose unorthodox methods and unpredictable behavior would get him fired... if he weren't the boss. The series comes from Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner David E. Kelley ("Ally McBeal","The Practice"), and Emmy Award winner Jason Winer ("Modern Family")directed the pilot.
