I don't know if this has been posted yet delete if it was though, but I was really happy to see half the list, well happy to see some friends and comedy people I enjoy on it. Specifically Paul Rust, Anthony Jeselnik, TJ Miller, John Mulaney and Casey Wilson. I am though iffy on some of the other people on the list but oh well.

Hasn't Ralphie May had his chance already? How is he still a comic to watch?
Great list otherwise though.

Ugh… Russell Brand. Other than that I'm happy.

Awesome, Jeselnik is great. His material is really dark, sick and twisted. I heard something about a new show he's doing with Jim Norton, "Dirty Boys of Comedy". Anyone hear anything about that? For Comedy Central?

Are people into this dude? I don't know much about him except his work in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and a little bit of standup in a Youtube clip I saw in which I believe I made a quick judgement on him and stopped watching.

It's weird, I liked him in FSM and he's very funny in his talk show appearances, but I've tried watching his stand-up too and it's not very good. I tried listening to his radio show as well, and it's all right, but he does get tiring after a while. I do find him funny in small doses though.
I posted this on the old board but I do enjoy this clip a lot, I hope they put it on the DVD.

I also liked him in Sarah Marshall, but in every other context he's unbearable.

I listened to a couple of his shows with Karl Pilkington back in the podcast days and while it wasn't bad it just felt unfair that anyone else can make fun of him - without Gervais and Merchant it sounds meaner

If you could add any people to this list who would it be?
I have two: Jena Freidman and Kenny Zimlinghaus.
Google them!

Hannibal Buress from Chicago and Jullian Mccoulagh from NYC. Not sure if that is how you spell either of their names, but those are my two choices.

It's "Down and Dirty with Jim Norton," coming to HBO as a four-episode stand-up showcase series in late September and October. I went to a couple of the tapings in May in New Jersey.

No problem. I caught him randomly here in the city, and have seen him a few times since. He's so much better than whatever videos are out there. Definitely keep an eye out for him if he comes to your city.
And Comicscomic, thanks for the info. I am REALLY looking forward to that show. A four episode series of stand-up showcases? That's awesome. I'm pretty sure Jullian Mcchoulagh was involved as well, right? Can't wait!

I'm also pumped for this show. I just watched Hannibal on Live at Gotham and he cracked me up.

they are probably one of the best in Ohio for bringing in acts - I can't believe the random people they've brought in.
Are you going to Benson in Columbus?
Shane
July 30, 2008, 2:57 PM
Yeah, they bring in some good ones, Jimmy Pardo and Eddie Gossling are there every year. I could go to all 6 of their shows during the week.
No, I can't, I'm not 21 yet, plus he's coming to Cincy with Graham Elwood in the fall.

I thought about putting Hannibal on my short list. I saw him at the Globe Pub one night. And then at the Lakeshore two days later. Robin Williams(aka the Joker) kept gushing about him on stage.
I don't wanna rerail the stream of consciousness that is this thread but , when is Mulaney going to be in Cinnci? That'll be awesome!
Oh and also Greg Johnson is one to watch out for. He's like falling rocks!
