I'm cobbling together all of the AST Poll results based on what I have in spreadsheet form, can find cached on Google and have on paper. However, I'm still missing some of the info, and rather than re-building it all from scratch or omitting anything, I thought I'd see if anyone has any of it for any reason.

So if you happen to have a copy of the results post (with our without the complete with "Notes and Analysis" section) from any of the following AST Polls, please let me know:

AST Poll #1 (Oct 2004)
AST Poll #2 (Apr 2005)
AST Poll #4 (Apr 2006)
AST Poll #7 (Oct 2007)

Thanks.

Blogs might have some info -- I think dead-frog posted the results for the last few, and maybe The Coming did as well? You probably already did a Google search on that.

Notes & Analysis
It's a Landslide!

104 ballots were submitted, up from 77 for AST Poll #4.

Top-ranked Paul F Tompkins appeared on 76 of the 104 ballots. Next highest was second-ranked Patton Oswalt with 56/104, followed by fifth-ranked Zach Galifianakis with 54/104 and third-ranked Andy Kindler with 51/104.

An all-time high of 179 different people/groups received votes, 67 more than the last AST Top 20 Poll six months ago.

I believe Paul F Tompkins' 35 percent margin of victory is the largest in the history of the AST Poll. Louis CK had claimed the first Poll with a 33 percent separation from second place.

Big Movers
Doug Benson jumped from a tie for 18th into the top 10 at #8.

Scharpling & Wurster burst into the Poll at #10.

Jimmy Pardo ascended from 12th to 7th.

Andy Daly jumped from the unranked to #12.

Two other newcomers to the Top 20 Jen Kirkman and Tim & Eric tied for 15th.

The Tomorrow Show's trio of hosts Brendon Small, Ron Lynch and Craig Anton joined the Top 20 for the first time.

Demetri Martin slid from 8th to 20th.

David Cross continued his descent in the rankings, falling to a tie for 18th.

Thanks to everyone who voted and congratulations to Paul F Tompkins!

(See you again in April.)

Notes & Analysis
39 ballots were submitted, up nine from the 30 submitted in round two.

Second-ranked Zach Galifianakis was on 32 of the 39 ballots. That means he becomes the first person to appear on the most ballots without ranking first overall. Top-ranked Louis CK appeared on 31 of 39 ballots.

An all-time high of 94 different people/groups received votes, up a whopping 23 from the second AST Top 20 Poll.

The Top 5 ranked head and shoulders above the rest of the field. As proof, even if sixth-ranked David Cross doubled his point total, he'd still be nine points shy of fifth-ranked Andy Kindler.

Big Movers
Zach Galifianakis made up a 57-point deficit (from AST Poll #2) on Patton Oswalt and landed in second place.

Paul F Tompkins deservedly jumped from sixth into the AST elite at #4. Although two spots isn't huge, when you take the observation about the Top 5 vs. the rest of the field into account, it's a big move.

Hard n Phirm catapulted from the unranked to #7.

Dave Attell seemingly benefitted from the recent airing of the Insomniac tour on Comedy Central, launching him into the Top 10.

Brian Posehn jumped into the Top 10, possibly fueled by the (as yet limited) release of his CD.

Doug Benson's suspicions were proven correct as he slid from eighth to 13th.

Somehow Nick Swardson ascended two spots (17th to 15th) despite very little standup activity.

Jimmy Pardo, Brian Regan (supported largely by one loyal voter) and Jarrett Grode all broke into the Top 20!

Thanks to everyone who voted and congratulations to Louis CK!

I am excited about this. How does it all work? We vote for our top three comics? I guess you'll probably explain it when the time is right but I just thought I'd ask, because I haven't participated in it before.

In short, you vote for 10 comics ordered from 1-10. But yes, there will be more comprehensive instructions when the Poll begins.
