They announced it ahead of time in the post, before the forums went down.
It was...
Bananas (1971)
Starring Woody Allen
I didn't go, I made reservations, but unfortunately had to cancel them last minute.
I also would love to hear a recap of the show if anyone who did go finally sees this thread.

Bob showed Woody Allen's Bananas. I wasn't at the show but a friend let me listen to Bob's intro via cell phone. I'll see if I can get a better recap from him.

I will try to recap a bit so you guys can get an idea of what we're doing.
The evening started out on a very weird note, as a very drunk, pre-17-year-old-assault Andy Dick had been hanging out at La Poubelle before the show. He saw Bob walking down the street, and decided to go into the UCB.
Andy then proceeded to constantly interrupt Bob's attempts to introduce the film, which led to a sad exchange between them where Bob, very concerned for Andy, tried to talk to him about getting some help. We ended up having to kick Andy out, and it bummed everyone out. Andy did get a nice "Fuck you!" out as he was escorted from the theatre.
I think everyone was a bit discombobulated, so we just started the movie without much more of an intro. This worked out pretty well, though, because neither Bob nor I had seen the movie recently, so we weren't that familiar with the details. So instead, we had about a half hour discussion after the movie, with BJ joining in, which I thought was pretty interesting. Topics ranged from how it holds up now to career longevity to why can't we just make funny movies that are easy and cheap to shoot?
The whole evening lasted about two hours. It was kind of weird because over a hundred people who had reservations didn't show up, but this made for a comfortable evening in the UCB, with everyone able to stretch out and relax, and enjoy whatever libations they had brought.
Very excited for the next one, as Tom has picked one of my favorite comedies! If you haven't seen The Man with Two Brains, you should definitely be there, and even if you have, I think the post-show discussion should be very interesting.
We have a few more of these scheduled down the road, with great guests, so I hope people come out and enjoy.

I haven't seen 'Man With Two Brains' in years. Definitely won't be missing out this time.

From what I heard on the phone, I couldn't tell if Dick was just 'performing' or not. Bob's comparison of Dick and Farley was sad to hear.

Both this and the prior movie night sound amazing. I wish I lived near L.A.
Seeing Bananas with an intro by Bob would have been glorious.

What a fun evening! I'd completely forgotten the identity of the killer from when I saw it as a kid.
I hope this series continues after summer. Hearing Lennon and Aukerman talk about their screenplay troubles alone was worth the price of admission.
