Dear Everyone,

Here is the last installment of the Absolut ads Zach did with Tim and Eric. It is an
acquired taste. If you do not have taste then you may have some
trouble. Also, Zach is in the planning stages of a Canadian tour.

Has anyone seen Visioneers? I'm surprised how little buzz there has been about it around here, even before the crash.

there was a whole thread about visioneers before the board crash. i was very lucky and got to see it in las vegas - go see it if you get the chance! it's amazing. the most recent newsletter was sent out at the beginning of july, here it is:

Jeffers Morning, Tunts!

We've had some time to recover from the festivals. It was an amazing experience and was great to finally see George on the big-screen flipping everyone off. The response could not have been better. All of our shows in Seattle and Vegas sold out, with nearly 1,500 people seeing our film over the course of four screenings. We ended up taking home the Audience Award for Narrative Features at CineVegas, which is a huge honor. So thank you Vegas and more importantly, thanks to our audience. At this stage, it means a lot to know our movie is connecting.

We are currently preparingfor two distributor screenings, one in LA and one in NY, that will take place later this month.Until then, the film is on lock down. We may attend a few festivals this fall, and if we do, we will keep you posted on screening times and specifics.

In the meantime, you can check out some of our reviews on the press page of our website: www.visioneersthemovie.com (http://www.visioneersthemovie.com/)

From the Hollywood Reporter:

Comedian Zach Galifianakis has snagged lead roles in Todd Phillips' comedy "The Hangover" for Warner Bros. and the HBO pilot "Bored to Death."

In "Hangover," Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms play best buddies at a wild Las Vegas bachelor party who lose the groom just hours before his wedding. Legendary Pictures is producing with Warners, and filming is set to begin this weekend.

In "Death," Galifianakis plays Ray, a struggling comic book artist and best friend to Jonathan (Jason Schwartzman), an alcoholic writer who pretends to be a private detective. Ted Danson also stars in the project from writer Jonathan Ames and director Alan Taylor.

The CAA/Brillstein Entertainment-repped actor recently appeared as Ashton Kutcher's sidekick in "What Happens in Vegas" and will be seen in Disney's upcoming action-adventure film "G-Force."

Saw Visioneers this evening. Really enjoyable movie. I think some of the comedic elements fell flat, but it was a really effective movie. And Zach's great in it. He has very few lines, and he relies a lot on body language. Great performance.

Do you guys remember having stacks of VHS tapes (early TiVo)? Jesus, have DVDs been out for a decade already?

I wonder if they muted the "high" part when it played in front of the Wonder Years. Never noticed it.

From the description of it, it sounds like the "Live at the Purple Onion" special, which I'm sure a lot of you have on DVD, but I don't think it has ever aired on TV before.

Yes, it was the "Purple Onion" DVD, but presented as a "Secret Stash" presentation, so all the cursing was unbleeped. Comedy Central seems to be showing a lot of specials without doing much advertising for them lately; on Thanksgiving in the early morning, they were showing the "Naked Trucker and T-Bones Live at the Troubadour" special (that one was bleeped, however).

Not just specials. They don't advertise anything. It's brilliant (sarcasm). More people are aware of the show because of my myspace bulletins than TV commercials. In Comedy Central's defense, there is ONE billboard for the show in all of Los Angeles...ONE. Oh, and it says that our show is on Wednesday nights (FYI we're on Thursdays).

I'm done venting. Getting back on topic, Zach's Purple Onion DVD is one of my favorites. The stuff with Brian Unger and Seth is amazing (If you only saw this on Comedy Central I recommend getting the DVD 'cause there's some funny outtakes from the Seth stuff)

and, I think that was A.D. Miles doing the voice over. Carol Barbra is Zach's character, and the voice over was talking about Zach/Carol.

HBO did some serious holiday shopping the past two days.

On Thursday, the pay cable network picked up to series two comedies: "How to Make It in America," toplined by Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk, and the Jason Schwartzman starrer "Bored to Death."

The Jonathan Ames-penned "Bored" centers on Jonathan (Schwartzman), a struggling thirtysomething Brooklyn writer with a drinking problem who, after a painful breakup with his girlfriend, decides to emulate his heroes from the novels of Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett. He takes out an ad pretending to be a private detective and starts taking cases -- solving some and making others worse.

Ames, a novelist who landed his first TV series with "Bored," called the genre of the show "noirotic -- a mix of noir and neuroses."

He exec produced the pilot, directed by Alan Taylor and co-starring Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis, along with Sarah Condon, Dave Becky, Stephanie Davis and Troy Miller.

ZOMG guinea peeeg spiez! Super guinea pig agents are out to stop a billionaire baddie in Jerry Bruckheimer's new G-Force movie. Hooray for secret agent critters with gadgets!

No one ever suspects the guinea pig. A group of technologically enhanced furries take on a billionaire bad guy who wants to control the world. The underwater pigs you see below — Juarez (voiced by Penιlope Cruz) and Blater (voiced by Tracey Morgan) — are described as "little James Bonds," by Bruckheimer to USA Today. The cast also boasts the vocal talents of Nicolas Cage as Speckles, Sam Rockwell as Darwin, and Steve Buscemi as Bucky. Also making an appearance are Will Arnett, Zach Galifianakis and Bill Nighy, who plays the evil doer Leonard Saber. The evil genius builds a mechanized army, and it's up to the pigs to stop him.
