Don't know if y'all have seen it already, but this made it on Stephen Colbert for the make John McCain exciting challenge. The person who made this video, Wayne Simbro, was the editor on Brent Weinbach's project for SuperDeluxe (just FYI).

That was awesome. Even awesomer: the most recent edit to Oney Judge's wikipedia page:

Oney Judge's story has been the inspiration for recent works: TAKING LIBERTY by Ann Rinaldi (2002 novel); THE ESCAPE OF ONEY JUDGE by Emily Arnold McCully (2007 children's book); A HOUSE WITH NO WALLS by Thomas Gibbons (2007 drama); DRUNK HISTORY VOL. 3 featuring Danny McBridge (2008 YouTube dramatization).

-The very last line of the short

Here's a video I made a while back out of sheer boredom. Essentially I was sitting around with a bad fake mustache and a bag of chips at 2 in the morning and thought, "Man, I should really make a short!"

So here it is, with me in all of the roles...because apparently I was the only one who thought that bad mustaches and potato chips were comedy gold. Well, I proved them wrong...I hope.

Hey everybody,

My name is Payman, and my buddy Sean and I make shorts/sketches under the name Awkward Pictures. We made a sketch series for the web called "Comedy Gumbo", and 4 episodes are out so far. They're between 3-6 minutes, and have 6 or 7 sketches per episode.

If you have a few free minutes, it would be sweet if you could watch an episode. We're big fans of Mr. Show, UCB, Human Giant, all that good stuff, so I hope you guys dig our show. And while our production value looks high, our crew usually consisted of us and our camera guy.

The show is on Sony Digital's "CSpot" and their channel on YouTube is a mess because of so many other shows. But here's the link to episode 2, the rest of them will show up under 'Related Videos'

http://youtube.com/watch?v=vRC8n9OLHEA

You can watch it right now here too if you want
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/vRC8n9OLHEA&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/vRC8n9OLHEA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Sorry for the long post, but I haven't actually posted on here too much and I didn't want to be a douche and just say "hey watch my stuff".

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the show!

I smell a new slogan

Good on you Lee Camp, bite that corrupt hand until it's bloody and raw. Note to the rest of you: If you are not making people squirm like that Fox News anchor at least once a week you are not a comedian, you are a clown - which is fine, the world needs to forget their troubles and laugh now and then, but the hallowed title comedian should be reserved for those with the balls to speak truth to power and ignorance when the opportunity presents itself.

"You get all the news you can at Fox News"

I smell a new slogan

Good on you Lee Camp, bite that corrupt hand until it's bloody and raw. Note to the rest of you: If you are not making people squirm like that Fox News anchor at least once a week you are not a comedian, you are a clown - which is fine, the world needs to forget their troubles and laugh now and then, but the hallowed title comedian should be reserved for those with the balls to speak truth to power and ignorance when the opportunity presents itself.

Oh for Christ's sake, Fox news is one of the easiest targets ever. Bill Hicks was a comedian , this fellow was just smarmy. Now if he had demanded that he take center stage and forced all the studio cameras to focus on him while delievering his statement, then that would indeed be powerful.

Jenny, let's remember this wasn't Bill Hicks who by the end of his career had proven he could have a career without having to suck at the teet of corporate media. This was a young unknown comedian - who probably has a great desire to continue having a career - possibly severing any future relationship with the Newscorp Empire which includes Network, cable and movies, in order to take an opportunity to embarrass the greatest propaganda machine since Pravda. That's something a great many very well respected comedians do not have the balls to do. In fact many of them who feel the same way as Lee Camp and have said so in other safer venues have no problem appearing on Fox Tv and movies to further their own careers. Now I don't really blame these people for taking the jobs when so few are offered to them but they have to understand that doing so bumps them up couple of pegs on the hypocrisy meter. You can't rail against the evil that is Fox News on one day then appear on a popular tv show on their network on another garnering them higher ratings and greater ad dollars that they immediately funnel toward more propaganda.

would have been a much funnier move to have Mark Spitz on SNL last week. Actually it would have been even better for Will Farrell to do a guess appearance as Mark Spitz in a sketch with Michael Phelps. No matter how bad the writing it would have been an instant classic. Oh SNL is just the queen of missed opportunities. At least we got to see that awesome basketball sketch again. Must have taken them all summer to think how they would adapt the Manning sketch to Phelps.

in the snl thread, brasky mentioned a spitz-related sketch that was pitched, but nixed by phelps, who thought it was disrespectful.

I wanted to paint portraits professionally when I was younger. Unfortunately, I had a hard time drawing hands(people say they're the hardest thing to draw.) I also had a rough time drawing hair(there are so many of them.) And I could never capture the life in someone's eye's. All my portrait's came out looking like bald people wearing sunglasses and mittens.

What does this have to do with comedy on youtube? Probably nothing. I think this dude is the worst type of spammer. The portrait artist type spammer.

You know, Hitler had the same problem(really, he did - he could draw landscapes, but not people, so he got rejected from art school). So essentially what I'm saying is, you're like Hitler.

Hi everyone. Some of mine ....

hcOXO9wyfHE

Here's the opening scene from a longer film called Shamelessly .... The story being that a comic book heroine is trying to make her own movie. I'd say the film is half comedic, half dramatic. Kierstyn Elrod and Claire Carroll are the actresses here. This is a not for profit film.

H0q2xU4-xzQ

Here's an early rough cut (not finished effects) of another scene from Shamelessly, with Kierstyn Elrod, Landall Goolsby and Sharon Mahoney. There's a high quality option. Not for profit film.

And, stretching my welcome to a third video:

fGv97Lwxaos

A (pretty old) montage/trailer. Radio Man lives in his mother's house. He has a Yamaha keyboard. That's about it really.

Am I late to this party? Does everybody already know about this hilarious short film by Scott Dikkers (former editor-in-chief of The Onion, creator of the brilliant Jim's Journal)?

If you haven't seen it, see it. I love it.

That's episode #2 of series two... really, what I'm trying to do is to get the word out about gay cocaine. It's not that it's bad, but it's really a life-altering experience if you weren't gay before-hand. So, if somebody offers you some blow for an extremely low price, chances are that it's gay coke and you're going to end up with same-sex genitals in your mouth/body.

If you like "Sparkle Picnic", please check out sparklepicnic.com. Very few people see these, so I'm trying to build up an audience (we've got another eight episodes of 'series two' coming every Monday).

Hi guys. Maybe you remember Gabe & Max's Internet Thing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPsUmhqncAg)? Well Gabe (http://videogum.com) and I got asked by Details Magazine to make fun of their magazine so we said sure. For real. Here is Gabe & Max's Guide To Man Style.

pZXPE9he7IE

I get emails all the time from people saying, "You are so beautiful it's crazy!!!" And it's like, that's not even a question, you know? "Please don't abuse questions-only@maxsilvestri.com." That's what I say to them. So just to get these jerkheads off my pretty, pretty back, Gabriel Delahaye and I have made another installment of Gabe & Max's Guide to Man Style for Details Magazine, this time focused entirely on beauty tips. Check it out if you enjoy not having trouble getting the sex you want:

I deleted my comment. I just wanted to point out that I was not talking about comments neccessarily. I'm not worried about not being funny. I was talking about death threats that men mainly email me and the other drunk history narrators (men) have not experienced this. That's all.

What a great Drunk History, Jen! Fuck the haters!

I read some of the comments on Youtube and 90% of them are positive.

One person (Lance Rooke) seems to be making most of the negative comments in a argument he was having with somebody named Nubbs.

The good thing is that you got people talking. And every time they return to your page to post something stupid about Aaron Burr, your video gets another view.
