Notes & Analysis
Paul F. Tompkins' role and residence may have changed, but his place atop the AST Poll remains the same. He ranked first in the AST Poll for the sixth consecutive time. He becomes the first six-time winner of the Poll.

Paul's lead on second-place Louis CK shrunk from a 42 percent margin to 27 percent.

Louis CK becomes the first non-winner to receive the most first-place votes, besting first-place Paul F. Tompkins 16-13 in that category.

85 ballots were submitted, down from 87 for AST Poll #9.

Top-ranked Paul F. Tompkins appeared on 67 of the 85 (78.8%) ballots. Next highest was second-ranked Louis CK with 49/85. Patton Oswalt appeared on 42 of 85 ballots.

161 different people/groups received votes, 14 more than the last AST Top 20 Poll six months ago.

Big Movers
Not a whole lot of major movement from six months ago.

John Mulaney bounced from 12th to 7th on the strength of his recently-released CD and Comedy Central Presents.

Jon Glaser rode "Delocated" from the unranked to a tie for 10th.

Jim Gaffigan also shed the "unranked" label and tied for 10th as a result of his recent "King Baby" Comedy Central special/CD/DVD.

Dana Gould's Showtime special, "Let Me Put My Thoughts In You" landed him in the Top 20 for the first time at #17.

Andy Daly's relative inactivity on the stand-up scene caused him to plummet from 3rd to 18th place.

Thanks to everyone who voted and congratulations to Paul F. Tompkins!

(See you again in October.)
